The Ceiling… the 5th Wall

More often than not, ceilings are forgotten and left plain, old, boring white.  Instead of leaving the ceiling as is, why not consider it your 5th forgotten wall, and add a splash of colour or pattern!  Not only will painting or papering your ceiling take away from the choppiness of transitioning from a deeper colour to stark white, it will add a point of interest.  Not every room may be able to handle a bold paper on the ceiling, but for those that can…. it’s an amazing look!

Black and white paisley print updates the softer pink walls

Leaving the walls soft and neutral draws your attention to the great roman shades and trellis ceiling

This soft geometric pattern may appear busy if it were on the walls, but works great when used on the higher part of the walls and ceiling

A bit of fun in a nursery where baby is going to be focusing on anyways

Adding the same pattern to both walls and ceilings makes the room appear taller
