It happens to be that exciting time of the year, well at least for us colour and decor enthusiasts, where Benjamin Moore announces their 2013 colour trends and colour of the year. In year’s past, there has been a huge array of colours chosen, from the warm, deep hue of Vintage Wine 2116-20 to last year’s calming Wythe Blue HC-143. This year certainly does not disappoint, with Lemon Sorbet 2019-60 bringing a refreshing, invigorating vibrancy to the 2013 colour palette.
“Lemon Sorbet is a perfect colour to begin invigorating change for 2013. Colour has the power to evoke a mood and yellow, in its many variations, represents optimism and light for 2013.” Sharon Grech, designer for Benjamin Moore.
Lemon Sorbet is a refreshing backdrop to grayed down art work and furniture.
Not sure of the blue tone used here, but Lemon Sorbet certainly gives life to what appears to be a colour very similar to 2012 colour of the year, Wythe Blue.
Yellow and gray pair has been one of the most trending parings of the season so far, don’t be afraid to throw this colour combo outside for high impact.
If yellow walls would be too much for you, try painting a piece of furniture with a high gloss paint for a wow factor.
